Like the fairy, you treat me with my favorite dish beyond joy!

Like the dear friend, you play with me enthusiastically all day!

Like a doting grandchild, I love you and wish you a ‘Happy Grandparents Day’!

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honor them– pre-primary Section celebrated Grandparent’s Day on 31sT October 2018.

The students of kindergarten celebrated Grandparents Day with abundance of respect and admiration. There was a special event for the Grand Parents of the Pre-Primary as well as children from the Primary sections.

In this set up we had little anchors, who took up initiative to announce the upcoming events. They were Samiksha from class I, Nidhi Rangani and Arya Parmar from KGII the activity in between and taking to its height. We had Ms.Varsha Mam who hosted the program till the end, Vaishali Mam, Prity Mam for fun games prepared for audience and Mrs. Kapoor to give the introduction of the invited Guest of honour Mr Sheshrao Deshmukh a retired AIS officer in police dept. . . .

The function started with welcoming the parents and grandparents with a rose on their shirt and tiara on the ladies crown. It started sharp 10 o’clock. Everyone was punctual and enthusiastic about their kids presenting for them.

The chief guest Mr Sheshwrao Deshmukh along with our principal mam lighted the lamp and felicitated him along with his wife and his son…………with a sapling.

The program started with Saraswati Vandana a classical dance performance, sharing thoughts for their grandparents. There were many interesting items songs, dances filled with old memories, Ramp walk with grandparents. Here on the Ramp walk we had some energetic young and old grandparents who actively took part in it wearing the traditional outfit and boldly answer to the quiz put up by the chief guest and principal mam. The best answers were rewarded with gifts.  Then followed the 2 songs especially for grandparents. The primary students beautifully sang a song. Hasya kavi samelon too impressed the grandparents

To balance the tones set by the events thus far, we had a Game in the end which grandparents participated with great zeal and a short skit followed by a Dance performance. The winner Grandparents from the Game were greeted with gifts by the Principal which brought a twinkle to their otherwise, dull eyes. Appropriate music and enthusiastic grandparent-grandchild combinations made these events runaway hits with all those present.

After this, the Principal Mam and the invited guest address left everyone speechless. The School Staff also interacted on a one-to-one basis with the guests, during the high tea arranged for them. The general mood was one of exultation and everyone seemed truly happy.

It was a successful event indeed, and the School as always would be pleased to organize many such more events.
