71st Republic day celebrations at SMCS

The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at the St. Mary Champion H. S.  School on 26th January 2020. The students paid homage to the National Flag, soldiers, martyrs, freedom fighters and pledged themselves to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of our beloved country India.

The orchestra presented beautiful patriotic melodies and entire school joined in when the choir sang whose sounds reverberated in the surroundings. The students also moved the audience with their poems which were followed by beautiful folk dances. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding.

The Principal and the Director of the school felicitated the students who won accolades and brought laurels in various sporting and co-curricular events. The winning house of the various Inter-house competitions was also announced. The school dignitaries congratulated the winners and appreciated their hard-work and discipline which made them the ultimate ‘champions’. The Director and the Principal in their addresses urged the students to do their best and be proud to be born in our beloved country.

The students dispersed with sweets and the image of the fluttering tricolour in their minds.
