Annual Day Celebrated ‘EUPHORIA’ at SMCS
‘No education can be complete without the arts and creativity playing a central role in a child’s life’
The St. Mary Champion H.S. School celebrated its 27th ‘Annual Day’ on December 22, 2019 with great elation and gusto on the theme ‘EUPHORIA’ the pleasure or excitement and intense feeling of well being and happiness was well portrayed by the tiny tots. The programme commenced with the auspicious traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished assembly of guests. The associate professor Dr. Jyoti Sharma of Devi Ahilya University and Rev. Bishop Chacko Thottumarickal of Indore diocese were the chief guests at the gleaming function. The function was also graced by Rev Fr. Domnic, Mr. Dhirendra Dave, Mrs. Ponnamma Mathew, Mrs. Anita Chouhan and Mr. & Mrs. Philips.
The tiny tot’s presentations showcasing the orchestra, the chatting Yantra-English Skit, Disco Dance, The colours of life dance and dance for Tranquillity and International Culture crated the visual feast for the audience as it displayed the innocence and joyfulness of childhood. A glittering bonanza of my inspiration Meri-Maa dance and Dream India clean India play enraptured everyone. The audience comprising of the parents and guests was captivated by the enchanting performances of the students and the soulful symphony of the budding musicians.
Addressing on the occasion Dr. Jyoti Sharma praised and appreciated the outstanding work of the students and raising the educational standard in the city. Rev. Bishop Chacko Thottumarickal in his blessings outlined the vision and motto of the school that aims at imbuing a strong value system in the young aspiring students. He also urged the parents to lay emphasis on inculcating the same.
The school management felicitated the best teachers, students and helpers. Prizes were given away to the toppers and other students who had brought laurels to the school in various competitions and contests. Annual Report was presented by the honourable Principal – Mrs. Isabel Swamy. This included the achievements of the school since its inception and also highlighted the mile stones achieved in academics and co-curricular arenas.
At the end Mr. S.L. Swamy, the director of the school thanked the chief-guest, dignitaries, and parents for having spared their time to attend the function; he also thanked students, teachers, and the Principal for organizing the function successfully.
