Apples are sweet,

Oranges are sour,

Fruits are healthy ,

That make us wealthy.

I think all kids need snacks to fulfill their desire for a between-meal hunger.

Children today prefer junk foods like candy bars, chips, noodles and pizzas; but, preference is not always the best way to go. If they get hungry mid-day, a banana is the best snack at your hand. Fruits are snacks, which are rich in vitamins, and can be eaten the whole day. Fruits, which are rich in nutritional values, are the best snacks for growing children.

With an objective to create a strong awareness among students about the importance of consumption of fruits, the preprimary classes celebrated ‘Fruit Fiesta’. The occasion was used to teach kids the health benefits of fruits. The best part of the event was that the parents were involved in the participation of the competition with their little wards.

The main focus of the competition was that not only the MOMs, but also the DADs displayed their culinary skills with great enthusiasm. The participants came fully prepared, carrying an assortment of fruits, for the competition with many innovative ideas. The judgement of the competition was done by the co-ordinator and the Principal. While the students were preparing their salad, videos of their actions were captured for cherishing this memory.

Yummy fresh fruits like apples, bananas, grapes, etc. were cut and mixed to make a yummy and delicious fruit salad. The kids had a party in school.

This Activity was a great way of teaching the kids about the importance of eating a variety of fruits in all forms.

Both, the children and the parents were very enthusiastic about this fun and educational Fruit Fiesta Activity.
