‘International Women’s Day’ was celebrated in our campus on March 7, 2020. It was an occasion for the members of the SMCS family to pause for a moment and reflect on ourselves, to appreciate how much has been done and what more needs to be done in the field of gender equality. Moreover, it was the day to acknowledge all the women in the world for making this world a better place for everyone to live in.

The significance of the day was highlighted by the Director of the school Mr. S. L. Swamy. He elucidated the role that ‘parity’ of both the genders for a more promising future. The meaningful contribution of women was also highlighted through poems followed by some games & dance which made everyone sail in the memories of their individual childhood.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Principal of the school Mrs. Isabel Swamy where she thanked everyone who were a part of this day’s celebration. The programme was a success as everyone showed garnered respect for the role that women play in building a strong nation. The day ended with snacks and dessert for the entire staff.
